Compton, Calif. – Sophomore Mike Hernandez had one run as he went 2 for 4 with a double and RBI single Tuesday afternoon, but the Tartars (5-20, 2-9) fell to the Warriors (21-4, 9-3) 5-2.
Freshman Dominic Masciel went 3 for 5 with a double and a RBI single.
Freshman Jose Gutierrez-Silva (2-2) started on the mount for the Tartars. He pitched a total of five innings, allowing four runs and collecting three strike outs. Freshman Jibri Walden came in to relieve Gutierrez-Silva and pitched for a total of 3 innings, allowing one run and collecting two strike outs.
The Compton Tartars will go against the El Camino Warriors at home on Saturday, Mar. 30 at 12 p.m.
