Compton, Calif. – Sophomore Aaron Kirchner had a home run as he went 1 for 3 Friday afternoon, but the Tartars (4-13, 1-3) fell to the Mounties (9-9, 3-1) 8-2.
Sophomore Shoma Yoshida went 1 for 2 with a RBI single. Freshman Rafael Cortez (0-2) started on the mount for the Tartars. He pitched a total of five innings, allowing one run and collecting three strike outs.
The Compton Tartars will go against the Chaffey Panthers at home on Tuesday, Mar. 12 at 2:30 p.m.
