Compton Comes Up Short against San Bernardino Valley

Compton, Calif. - Sophomore Nick Redick went 2 for 3 with two walks while driving in a run and scoring one, but the Compton baseball team came up short against San Bernardino Valley, 6-5, on Thursday evening.

Sophomore Andy Rosales started on the mound for the Tartars and went four innings, allowed four runs and struck out two. Frehsman Rafael Cortez (0-1) came in relief and threw three quality innings while striking out four before giving up two runs in the 8th.

The Tartars head for a rematch at San Bernardino Valley Friday, Feb. 8 for a 2 p.m. contest.
